Ortovox Probe Alu 240 PFA avalanche probe is one of the basic devices to always have in your backpack in an emergency.
The main function of Probe Alu 240 PFA probe is to identify the burial point in the search for the missing, specifying the exact position and depth, thus facilitating the subsequent excavation operations.
The probe has a length of 240 cm, is made of aluminum and is equipped with numerical indication along the body, determining both to quickly read the depth of burial and to evaluate the profile of the snow. 240 cm covers the average burial depth of an avalanche.
Ortovox optimizes the new PFA system to make the probe much more compact, easy to use and consequently more efficient in the research phase.
