Fixe Plate Fixe 1 is increasingly popular in outdoor climbing and used to equip rock faces all over the world.
Fixe 1 made of 316L stainless steel replaces Fixe 1 in Duplex PLX steel (click here to view the product) with a resistance of 25 kN, a thickness of 3.5 mm and a large hole that allows the hooking of two carabiners simultaneously.
316L stainless steel is significantly more resistant to corrosion in outdoor and marine environments than the previous Duplex PLX steel.
Why is the new Fixe 1 so popular? Because it is resistant, light and reliable.
With this plate you have greater control of the tightening torque and greater contact against the wall, of its irregular nature.
The geometry has in fact been optimized with a reduction in surface and thickness.
With a thickness of 3.5 mm (compared to 4 mm of the Fixe 1 in PLX) Fixe Climbing has managed to bring us closer to the weight of the plates that stand out for their lightness, reducing the latter by 12.5% in the steel version 316L stainless steel.
It has also gone from 64g to 56g in the new version and is positioned as the strongest plate on the market.
