Designed with athletes and freeride guides who demand perfection wherever they go, its revolutionary construction has allowed it to minimise weight and deliver maximum performance, while still ensuring a pleasurable feel throughout the tour. This 88 mm centre ski is very light and easy to manoeuvre, yet very effective; a ski that straddles the light ski touring and touring worlds, to which it is very easily adapted. The free touring segment is the trend in mountaineering; it is essential to combine lightweight equipment that floats in powder and remains stable in variable terrain conditions. The Ripstick Tour 88 has the perfect width to feel confident on the descent and narrow enough to cope with comfortable, long ascents, making it the ideal product for mountaineering skis. At around 1250 g per ski in the 170 cm length, we have thought about the optimum weight for a touring ski, without sacrificing stability and downhill performance. With the carefully engineered CARBON BRIDGE technology, we have improved the reinforcement of the carbon bar to connect the energy of the ski and ensure a soft feel with excellent springback. The length of the reinforcement is custom-designed to reduce ski vibrations and tip vibrations. A reduced sidewall shape gives the ski a unique look with a functional weight reduction, while the full sidewalls increase pressure and contact on the edges. With a freeride profile and shape, we have found the perfect combination in weight/performance ratio for all skiers, whatever the conditions in the backcountry.
