Atomic Backland Ultimate is a ski mountaineering boot intended for all users, in particular for the most experienced and for all those looking for a super light and fast boot to tackle the climb.
This is the lightest model of the entire Atomic boot line with a weight of only 775 g per boot and is perfect especially for endurance courses when you need a comfortable and functional boot.
The fit is in fact very comfortable and 100% customizable thanks to the Memory Fit, a hot fit technology that allows you to model on your foot not only the inner shoe (breathable and washable in Memory Fit 3D Platinum Speed) but also the shell and cuff.
The shell is made of Grilamid while the cuff also has carbon inserts so as to lighten the boot and perfectly cushion the vibrations. Furthermore, thanks to the Prolite construction, the most stressed points have reinforcements so as to extend their life.
The Free / Lock 3.0 cuff opening / closing system allows you to quickly switch from walk to ski mode and to adjust the optimized forward inclination between 13 ° and 15 °. The mechanism is simple and easy to use.
With Backland Ultimate you have a unique freedom of movement with a cuff rotation of up to 80 °.
To facilitate the ascent phase there is also a particular technology that makes the movement much more fluid: Frictionless Pivot.
Pay attention to the Atomic boot sizing system. The sizes go from two to two so a 27 actually corresponds to a 27 - 27.5. If you wear a 27 you can in fact buy a 27 and use an insert that you will find inside the package that allows you to take half a size. If you wear a 27.5 instead, you can wear the boot without insert.
