ANTIGRAVITY explores the question: Is there a force that defies gravity? In impressive photographs, this book illustrates the story of extraordinary moments in which above and below lose their meaning and people challenge the limits of the physically possible. Over the course of five years, Swiss alpinist Dani Arnold, photographer Thomas Monsorno, climbing partner Martin Echser and filmmaker Lukas Kusstatscher explored spectacular ice walls around the world. Their journeys have taken them from Russia’s Lake Baikal to Iceland’s volcanic landscape, Kazakhstan and the fjords of Spitsbergen. Monsorno’s photographs show Arnold seemingly weightless, a play between man and nature. ANTIGRAVITY is more than just an photographic documentation about ice climbing - it is an inspiring homage to the beauty and challenges of our planet.
