SCARPA Chimera is a climbing shoe, evolution of the historical model of the same name, which perfection and makes it even more performing on sport routes, from slab to overhang!
Compared to the old Chimera this new version is a little more rigid and precise, perfect for those looking for a gritty and reactive climbing style. This is made possible by various factors including the brand new upper made with a mix of microfiber and polyurethane that makes it thinner and super resistant. Comfort is also excellent, they adapt to the shape of your foot without giving way too much with time and use. The tensioning system has also been revisited to make the Chimera perform well on walls of any inclination. In addition, the heel is built with PAF technology, which makes it comfortable and definitely performing.
The molded polyurethane midsole will give you maximum thrust on the spreads and small supports, while the Vibram XS Grip 2 sole guarantees exceptional grip on any type of rock. The peculiarity of this model is the differentiated thickness of the sole, from 3.5 mm in the forefoot to 2 mm in the heel.
