ピトン

Rock pitons for traditional climbing and mountaineering: universal, blade, angle and ring pitons, driven into cracks in the rock.

How to choose. Depending on the type of rock you climb on, you can choose soft steel or hard steel pitons, organised into two subcategories.

To drive them in and remove them, you need a climbing hammer and its accessories: a hammer holster, lanyard and hammer carrying carabiner.

Brands include CAMP, Climbing Technology, Skylotec, Petzl and Black Diamond.
